Annual MiPACS User Meeting Returns June 2023 (May 9, 2023)

Medicor Imaging's MiPACS Dental Enterprise was the first PACS software in the United States Air Force Medical Service to receive accreditation to operate on the Air Force network under new rules. The Air Force and MiPACS are also first among all branches within the United States Military to gain accreditation.

Formed on October 1, 2013, the Defense Health Agency (DHA) was commissioned to provide healthcare to American service members and their dependents. The DHA's mission is to "Enhance the Department of Defense and our nation's security by providing health support for the full range of military operations and sustaining the health of all those entrusted to our care."1

Medicor's Approval to Communicate (ATC), given by the Health Information Technology Directorate within the DHA, is shared by the Dental Imaging Collaborative Environment (DICE) and extends through April 2017. DICE is comprised of the MiPACS Dental Enterprise PACS software from Medicor Imaging, Carestream imaging hardware, Planmeca imaging hardware, and Air Techniques imaging hardware.

As the only software PACS solution within DICE, this accomplishment further solidifies MiPACS as the premier choice for Dental and Medical Imaging PACS. In addition to the Air Force, MiPACS is used throughout more than half of the VA Medical system, three state prison systems, and nearly 75% of North American dental schools. Most importantly, the long accreditation period ensures that United States Airmen and their families will receive top-notch dental care for years to come.
